Know which area every appointment belongs to
Map your coverage with a pin and radius or a shape you draw, and mark the places you do not serve. A new appointment matches its area from the address, and the calendar and team list filter by area.
Coverage should not depend on who answers the phone
Coverage usually lives in someone's head. The person booking an appointment guesses whether an address is in range and who covers it, and the answer changes with who picked up the phone. Service Areas puts the map in Genaya, so the answer comes from the address.
Is this address in range?
The person booking the appointment checks a map in another tab, or just guesses.
trending_downAppointments booked out of rangeWho covers that area?
The answer lives with the one person who remembers, and they are not always in.
trending_downThe wrong person gets assignedWhich area earns the most?
Without areas on the appointment, revenue is one number for the whole business.

Use Pin Mode when your coverage is a distance from a point, and Draw Mode when it follows a real boundary. Then add exclusions for the places inside that you do not serve.

The address does the matching
