No duplicate customers
Every record is matched on the identity that source already uses - email, phone or its own customer id - so importing twice does not double your client list.
Original dates kept
A client you have had for six years shows a six-year-old created date, not today. Reporting on your history stays true after the move.
Relationships preserved
Invoices stay attached to their customer, payments to their invoice, and appointments to the client they belong to.
Nothing silent

Before you move anything
What does it cost to import my data?
Nothing. Importing is part of every Genaya plan, including during your trial. There is no per-record fee and no paid migration package.
What if my system is not on the list?
Export a CSV or Excel file and use the file importer, which handles clients, leads, appointments, estimates, invoices, payments and expenses with your own column mapping. Almost every business system can produce that export.
Can I import in stages instead of all at once?
Yes. Most people start with clients, check the result, then bring in history. Each record type is its own import, so you can go at whatever pace you like.
What happens if I run the same import twice?
Records are matched rather than duplicated, so a repeat run updates what already exists instead of creating a second copy. That also means you can re-run an import after fixing a mapping.
Will my old dates and totals be right?
Yes. Created dates, invoice totals, tax, amounts paid and balances come across as they were, so last year still reports as last year.
Do I have to stop using my current system during the import?
No. Run the import while you keep working, review what landed, then switch over when you are satisfied. Nothing in the old system is changed or deleted by Genaya.
