Capture what your business needs on every record
Add your own fields to appointments, clients, estimates, and invoices. A clinic keeps an insurance ID, a firm keeps a matter number, a builder keeps a permit date. Pick the type, put it in a group, and fill it in on the form.
The form does not ask for what you need to know
Every business tracks something the standard form does not ask for. When there is no field for it, the detail lands in a notes box, a spreadsheet, or one person's memory. Custom Fields gives that detail a named place on the record.
Details end up in the notes box
The fact that matters sits in free text, written three different ways, where nobody can rely on it.

The team keeps one more file next to the system, and the two stop matching within a week.

Nobody wrote it down where the next person would look, so they call the client again.

Pick the type that fits what you are asking. A dropdown keeps answers consistent, a date stays a date, and a file upload keeps the file with the record.

- checkCheckbox and dropdown
- checkFile upload
Keep long forms easy to read
Put related fields in a group, limit a field to the appointment types it belongs to, and set a field to Inactive when you stop using it. Advanced settings hold the Required switch.
